Our Story

Legacyk began with one dog and one unwavering vision: to produce dual-quality dogs with exceptional temperament, sound structure, and robust health—ready to excel in the field, shine in the show ring, or thrive as devoted companions.. Since 2000, we’ve poured heart, time, and expertise into a breeding program grounded in integrity, selectivity, and uncompromising standards.
Our name reflects more than bloodline—it represents the legacy we pass on in every litter. Whether destined to be a wild bird dog, hunt test or field trial dog, the show ring or a child’s best friend, every dog we produce is the result of decades of careful planning, proven performance, and deep love for the breeds we steward.
In 2020, we expanded our program to include imported Working English Cocker Spaniels, drawing from some of the most successful and top lines in the UK. These intelligent, dedicated and eager-to-please little dogs have quickly become a cornerstone of our kennel and a joy to live and work with.

Our Facility
Where Dogs Live Like Dogs Should
Legacyk is located in Southeast Michigan, on 52 open, wooded, and water-fed acres. This is where our dogs grow, train, and thrive.
Daily life at Legacyk is structured but natural—our dogs are more than kennel occupants. They run. They swim. They get regular field training. They get dirty, tired, and fulfilled. Puppies are born and raised in our home, handled from day one, and introduced to kids, dogs, lots of new noises and new experiences.
Because we live with our dogs—not just around them—they develop with confidence, curiosity, and biddability. This lifestyle makes a difference you’ll feel the moment your puppy joins your home.
