  • How do I reserve a puppy from Legacyk?
    Once we have established that you are a suitable home for one of our puppies we will then require your full contact information, litter preference, deposit etc
  • How much does a German Shorthaired Pointer or English Cocker puppy cost?
    Our puppies typically range from $2,000–$3,500. For adult dogs, please contact us directly for pricing and availability.
  • What is included with a Legacyk puppy?
    Each puppy goes home with a Legacyk tote bag, a familiar-scent blanket, AKC registration, pedigree paperwork, and veterinary records.
  • Do your puppies come with AKC registration?
    Yes, all Legacyk puppies are sold with prepaid AKC registration.
  • What’s the difference between limited and full registration?
    Limited registration means the puppy is not eligible for breeding or conformation shows. To obtain full registration, we require the dog to earn a title and pass all required health clearances. Full registration allows for breeding and AKC registration of future litters.
  • Are your breeding dogs health tested and certified?
    Absolutely. All our breeding dogs are health tested and certified through OFA and other relevant organizations.
  • At what age do puppies go home?
    Puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
  • Do you offer a health guarantee?
    Yes, we offer a comprehensive 2-year health guarantee.
  • Can I visit your kennel or meet the parents?
    Yes! We welcome visitors by appointment and are happy to introduce you to the puppy’s parents when possible.
  • How do you match each puppy with the right family?
    We work closely with each family to understand their lifestyle and needs. Based on that, we guide you to a few puppies that we believe would be a great match.
  • What should I bring when picking up my puppy?
    Please bring a crate for safe travel and any questions you may have—we’re happy to walk you through the transition.
  • What type of food and feeding routine do you recommend?
    We recommend Purina Pro Plan Sport 30/20 Chicken & Rice. We’ll provide details about feeding schedules before pickup.
  • Will my puppy be crate trained or house trained?
    Puppies are litter-trained while with us. Crate and house training begin once your puppy transitions to your home.
  • What kind of socialization do puppies receive before going home?
    We follow Puppy Culture protocols and raise our puppies in-home, with daily exposure to new sights, sounds, and people to foster confidence and adaptability.
  • Do you offer support after I bring my puppy home?
    Yes—our support doesn’t end at pickup. We offer lifetime breeder support for every Legacyk puppy.
  • Do you ship or transport puppies to other states?
    We’re happy to help arrange safe and responsible transport options for families in other states.
  • What supplies do I need to prepare before bringing a Legacyk puppy home?
    You’ll need dog food, a crate, leash, collar, toys, chew items, and training treats. We’ll also send a checklist to help you prepare.
  • Can I breed my puppy in the future?
    We’re open to discussing breeding with approved homes. Requirements include earning a title and passing full health testing. We’d love to talk more if this is your goal.
  • What kind of contract do you use?
    Our contract requires that if at any point you can no longer keep your puppy, they must be returned to Legacyk. We will ensure they are safely re-homed
  • What happens if I can’t keep the puppy?
    If life circumstances change, your puppy must be returned to us. We’ll take responsibility for finding them a new loving home.
